Description:
MAJOR DUTIES: * Stay abreast of American automobile design, current technology and the cultural/sociological impact on future color.
* Gather and communicate trend information to all Nissan facilities regarding color design activities.
* Create and propose unique color concepts for the American consumer or appropriate target market.
* Develop color design strategies which express the overall concept of the vehicle.
* Independently and with suppliers, develop and utilize all forms of automotive materials in creating color, pattern and texture.
* Mix appropriate paint.
* Responsibilities for scheduling, ordering, receiving, presenting and all aspects related to the project.
* Must make individual design presentation throughout program. This includes designing presentation tools.

-Cool creative portfolio
-Automotive exp; more than an internship
-Not so much years but type of experience
-Didn’t work in production design space
-Working from home but come in studio to look at masters and look at light box
-Onsite orientation first day: get laptop, meet with Moira (Color Design Manager). Long term = San Diego.
-Exterior body color, interior fabric and leather, and all interior surfaces.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: Insight, creativity and resourcefulness; excellent color evaluation capabilities and presentation skills.
Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, VRed or Keyshot or Bunkspeed in a Windows PC environment.
Art degree with an interest in sociology/anthropology.
