Position will provide technical expertise and maintaining surveillance overall Quality and Sanitation activities, and plan and execute quality assurance projects and programs.n n Responsibilities n n Leads plant FSQA managers in the areas of: n nQuality and Consistency
– Match the specificationn Multi-plant comparative quality evaluations Daily product consistency evaluations Raw material comparative quality evaluations Incoming raw material evaluations Statistical process control improvement nReduce food safety risk and ensure product quality and consistencyn Prerequisite program compliance HACCP/food safety plan compliance Sanitation optimization Third party audit compliance Traceability/recall management nEliminate lossn Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Held product risk assessment and mitigation Statistical Process Control Mentorship/growth and development of future FSQA leaders n Monitor and respond key indicators across multiple manufacturing locations: n Monitor and respond to key indicators Environmental monitoring Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point compliance Statistical Process Control Daily Product Consistency Evaluations Overall Plant Effectiveness as following AFNA’s OEE definition n Ensure Regulatory Compliance: n Ensure AFNA manufacturing sites are compliant with FDA/USDA and GFSI requirements.

Ensure success in third party audits across multiple manufacturing sites Manage risk assessments and appeal letters to defend manufacturing sites from regulatory overreach.

n Directs and Coordinates Sanitation Program: n Ensures safety of sanitation employees Assists FSQA managers to identify and eliminate harborage areas.

Leads manufacturing sites in results-based sanitation.

Identifies and executes less than daily sanitation project improvements.

n n Qualifications n n Minimum 7
– 10 years of experience in Food Manufacturing Quality Assurance with at least half of the experience being in a supervisory capacity is required.

BS or higher degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology, Biology or other science is required .

Certifications through ASQC, SQF, GFSI and other professional quality associations are helpful.

TPM (Total Performance Management) / OEE based Food Manufacturing knowledge and experience preferred Budget/Cost Control
– general understanding of QA/procurement budgeting and cost control functions, with ability to perform budgeting/cost control processes.

Presentation Ability
– ability to make clear, concise and convincing business presentations.

Analytical
– ability to independently perform, mentor and manage others in conducting complex technical analysis of manufacturing data, statistical process control (SPC) and supplier performance.

Leadership
– ability to act as team leader for special task assignments and manage suppliers through influence.

Communication Skills
– excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skills.

Interpersonal Skills
– must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage internal and external support through influence.

An outgoing personality with the ability to work individually and in a team environment successfully.

Organizational Skills
– must have excellent organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects with various simultaneous deadlines.

Must be detailed and accurate.

Judgment/Decision Making
– ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate business judgment and recommendations independent of supervisor.

Ability to work under pressure and short time lines Computer Skills
– working knowledge of Microsoft based software, including Excel, Word and Outlook Travel
