GENERAL ATOMICS: Program Manager, Radar

(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to join our GA-ASI, Mission Payloads & Exploitation (MPEx) Radar Business Unit team.In this role, the successfully chosen candidate will manage production and development programs, both contractual and IR& D (in Radar Technology).

The Program Manager should be able to interact well with DoD and other government customers as well as build and develop programs.

The PM should understand and be able to assess technology and technical approaches, to include impacts to production/manufacturing.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Directs all phases of program(s) from initiation through delivery; including acquisition, planning, and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained.Manages a program of scale, lead a technical team to develop and deploy sensor systems.Develops new programs or delivery methods through customer interaction.Collaborate with engineering and/or division/group executive management to develop and establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, schedule, testing, integration, and contractual clarification for the program.Applies established technologies that require advanced principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems.Identify program issues and provide leadership for decisions that could have an extended impact on outcomes where erroneous decisions could result in critical delays and modifications to programs.May also contribute to the development of Group/Company objectives which have a long-range forecast projected to continue for multiple years.Influence, and coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract(s), negotiations and modifications.Ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by directing and participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required management, professional, and technical talent.Act as the primary customer contact for program activities and lead program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performanceDirect the development of and ensure the security of proprietary technology, and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Performs other duties as assigned or required.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
