OverviewRisk Strategy is seeking a strong candidate to perform monitoring of business rules within Smart Money Services (SMS) Capital business.
Be at the cutting edge of the FinTech industry the SMS division manages the financial risk of Payments, Payroll & Capital Lending for Small Businesses.What you’ll bringBS or MS in Financial Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, or equivalent.At least 2 years’ experience in Financial Technology Risk.
Experience in Small Business or Consumer Lending Risk preferred.Ability to use data analysis tools: SQL, VBA and Numerical methods.Good working experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, QlikView, etc.).
Exposure to statistical analysis and machine learning modeling algorithms.Team-player with proven relationship-building skills and comfortable interacting with all levels of management.How you will leadMonitor Capital Risk Business Rules & Model operations on a day to day basis to identify internal issues or environmental trends impacting rule & model performance.Coordinate across Risk Policy, Business Rules, Product Development, Data Science and Operations to ensure rule changes are validated end to end.Identify anomalies that indicate elevated risk and inform/influence partners to take corrective actions.Identify process improvement opportunities based on keen observation and build consensus to drive change.Educate engineers on the business relevance of errors & issues and work cross-functionally to identify remediation paths.
