* Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.* Responsible for the timely delivery of linen to ancillary and patient care areas within the organization as well as managing inventory received from contract linen company.* Reports to* Department Director and Management team* Supervises* N/A* Ages of Patients* Pediatric* Adolescent* Adult* Geriatric* Blood Borne Pathogens* Moderate Potential* Qualifications* Education* Required: Must speak and read English* Licensure/Certification* N/A* Experience* Preferred: Some previous housekeeping/janitorial experience* Essential Responsibilities* Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.* Disburses linen to ancillary and patient care areas on a daily basis.* Maintains adequate linen inventory in patient care and ancillary areas in the hospital on a daily basis.* Maintains accurate itemized inventory records and completes laundry forms.* Answers and Responds to linen calls within the hospital.* Cleans, maintains, and replenishes linen exchange carts in an orderly manner.* Unloads daily linen delivery from Contract Company carts to the linen room.* Maintains scrub pars for patient care areas on a daily basis.* Pulls reject linen from patient and ancillary care areas.* Maintain a clean linen storage area per regulatory standards.* Use material handling equipment to prevent injury to self or others.* Communicates with contract linen company driver regarding shortages or overages.* Complies with Title 22 and DHS regulations in regard to the safe handling and distribution of patient care items.
