Research And Development Engineer

Our tech helps solve the plastic pollution crisis by transforming waste into compostable materials.

We’re scaling our solution to significantly decrease plastic waste and greenhouse gas emissions.nn nn n nn nnAs an R&D Engineer, you would take the lead on automating new processes, fabricating and testing new prototypes for analytical and process equipment.nn nn n nn nnIf you have a passion for automation and design and are excited about working on solutions that will help save our planet, we would love to speak to you about this position.

nn nn n nn nnOn any given day you would:nn Oversee and lead sensor design for scalable solutions CAD new device prototype configurations Review literature on current analytical techniques Build our automation integrations for advanced fermentation process control strategies Iterate on rapid prototyping for integration of inline process sensors, offline analytical equipment Be the subject matter expert for prototyping and mechanical engineering Design modular scale-up process steps for various processes Build robust and scalable integration solutions which are repeatable and easily supportable Work closely with Full Cycle’s Growth and Engineering teams, proactively surfacing technical gaps between customer asks and current service and technical capabilities, and collaborate closely to address them Maintain technical documentation to include engineering drawings, reference material and application data nn n nn nnYour experience could include: nn Degree in a relevant field ( Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical engineering) or 5+ equivalent years of practical/work experience Familiarity with Allen Bradley or other PLC software Knowledge of material engineering and rapid prototyping techniques Experience leading technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders, including customers’ technical teams and their system integrators Experience troubleshooting and translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical and executive audiences Excellent communication skills and aptitude for working with cross-functional teams.

Effective written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team involving staff, clients and outside agencies Nice to haves: computer programming, fabrication experience, Autocad, 3D printing, experience with signal handling, medical device manufacturing
