TEMP Support Technician

Development Group, Inc.

This is a Full-time position in Redding, CA posted April 7, 2021.

DGI is currently seeking a Support Technician team member.

Your primary responsibility will be to image Chromebooks, install and configure hardware and software, and perform other related duties.

In this role, you will work as part of the Technical Support team and in close partnership with the Engineering team as well as other teams to represent Development Group’s core values and company goals.

The devices you setup and configure are used by students all across the West Coast to access classroom assignments, enhance learning, and collaborate with peers.

This role will have a schedule beginning at 7 00am PST for 8 hours each day.

This Hourly/Non-Exempt position reports to the NOC Manager.n n Essential Position Functionsn n Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.n Support a large number of Chromebooks in a fast paced environment.

Installs, repairs, adjusts, and maintains computer equipment including network and internal components.

Installs computers and related equipment onto district networks.

Installs, tests, and troubleshoots various computer cable systems.

Provides personal consultation and training to users for hardware and software.

Assists users with problems involving PC/terminal applications software.

Maintains equipment, supply, inventory, and repair records.

Performs other related duties that facilitate the use of technology by students, teachers, support staff and administration as assigned.

Assists in the installation, repair and maintenance of wireless LAN/WAN components.

Provides technical support to staff and students related to computers and computer systems.

Test and document system behavior, performance, and security.

n n Qualificationsn n Requirementsn Knowledge of active directory, Windows, Office, and basic network support.

Knowledge of Chromebooks and imaging computers.

Experience integrating Chromebooks with Active Directory group policies.

Management of Google Chrome Studio experience.

Experience with onboarding and management of Chromebooks at scale.

Knowledge of Cisco command line and system diagnostics.

Proficient with principles, capabilities and operations of computer systems, operating systems and related equipment.

Knowledge of networking practices, operating system and hardware protocols, and operations of microcomputer equipment.

Knowledge microcomputer technologies with a clear understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.

Must be at least 18 years old.

n n Skillsn Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Android Ecosystem.

Knowledge of troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving Network related issues.

Active Directory and integration with Chrome Management Studio.

n n Abilitiesn Capable of multi-tasking, good time management and prioritization of workload.

Willing to learn and develop new skills.

Must be self-confident, possesses a strong work ethic, and be continually focused on improvement, innovation, and bottom-line results.

Ability to recognize own capabilities and take initiative to continually improve; ability to seek out feedback on self.

Ability to perform administrative tasks (reports, expense reports, etc.).
